Some years ago, it is a common phenomenon in this part of the world for parents to prefer male child to the girl child. Young couples are often under pressure from friends and family to give birth to male children. But times are changing and people are beginning to acknowledge female children.
The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Dr Tor Uja and his wife Berry are proud parents of five beautiful daughters. Dr. Uja is a proud Nigerian father with five beautiful girls who are all lawyers. All his daughters, Nguemo, Wanter, Nguter, Nguuma and Ushakuma, are trained lawyers,
Dr Tor Uja and his wife Berry met and got married more than three decades ago.
All their daughters, Nguemo, Wanter, Nguter, Nguuma and Ushakuma, are trained lawyers, more reason for them to be proud. You all know it is not easy to train a lawyer in Nigeria. His youngest daughter was called to the Nigerian bar on July 14, 2016.
Here is what he wrote about his experience:
“And now, the story I was waiting for. Tor & Berry met about 35 years ago, and they decided to dedicate their lives to God… for a while it seemed like God was just minding his business and ignoring them. “He gave them 5 children, 5 girls… and we all know Nigeria; they don’t think much of the girl child. Anyway, fast forward a few years and God decided to shut everyone up!!!!!
We hereby present to you the first parents in Nigeria who have 5 KIDS, All GIRLS, All LAWYERS!!! They are all siblings, of the same father and mother
